Our story
Originally hailing from Upstate New York, the husband and wife team of Anthony and Wendy arrived in the Las Vegas/Henderson area in the early 00’s. Throughout the years, they watched as the area and community rapidly grew and changed. The thought of owning and operating a used books store had always been a shared dream and after establishing a handful of small businesses together, they decided to make this dream a reality. The first question they had to answer: where? When the nationwide search to purchase an already established bookstore began, the realization that their own community had a sore lack of used books stores quickly set in. A new plan started to form: start a new business right at home! Thus, Copper Cat Books was born and in late 2017, its doors were open.
Our Mission
A lot of lessons have been learned since 2017 but most of them can be traced back to our slogan: “Not a curiosity shop, but a bookshop for the curious.” Above all else, our main goal is to connect the community with all the enjoyment, comfort, and knowledge that books offer. This is why we are committed to providing an ever-changing and vastly diverse inventory and why we hold author signings and our very own curated events. We believe community is important and valuable and the reason we have been able to endure recent challenges of the past few years and thrive. We thank our community for making our dream come true.

Copper Cat Books may have started as a strictly used books store but upon learning more about our customers, we’ve expanded our offerings to include a variety of gift items and book reading accessories.
In an effort to serve our customers with as much as we can, we are able to special order titles, used and new directly from the publisher. We specialize in finding those rare, hard to find books or making sure you get the exact edition you’re looking for.
